Ask Eddie Montak how an infinity pool flows, and he’ll grab the nearest napkin and sketch out the system in less than a minute. And he’ll explain it so you understand.
For onlookers, Eddie’s passion is palpable. He’s been enchanted by the way things work since childhood, when he spent long days reassembling toys (true story!). Today, his drive remains the same, but his projects have gotten much more complex.
It’s paid off: today, Eddie’s company, X-Act Contracting, builds a diverse array of projects with breathtaking results. As a general contractor, Eddie’s own encyclopedic experience gives him a jump on other New York builders, resulting in ultra-reliable teams, hyper-efficient processes, and well-informed confidence (minus any surprises).
Eddie and his network of architects and sub-contractors have built some of Long Island’s most high-profile boutiques and homes. In the Hamptons and New York City, he’s collaborated with owners and architects on everything from historic restorations to luxe bathrooms. He personally oversees most projects_all the better to increase his ability to help clients. His keen understanding of each piece of every construction puzzle expands his toolkit, increasing efficiency and elegance_without raising costs.
Eddie is not just an extraordinary contractor: He is also a passionate animal lover. One of his favorite projects is Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue. GSAR’s mission is to save dogs that are headed for euthanasia and place them in loving homes. GSAR was founded by Eddie’s wife Michelle Neufeld Montak. Check out this amazing organization on Facebook.
