Leonard J. Brown founded his plumbing shop in 1946 in Park Ridge, a Northwest suburb of Chicago. As the surrounding areas grew, so did Brown Plumbing, which became known for excellent customer service and innovative business management. The company thrived for decades under Leonard’s capable hand, and he sold his business in 1990, after a long and successful career.
Having built a reputation for first class workmanship and service, Leonard wanted to be sure his legacy was preserved. He sought a buyer with similar values, and he found one in The Bogot Companies, a group of mechanical contracting and service companies originally founded in 1945 by Herman Bogot. Herman shared Leonard’s commitment to quality and customer service, and that commitment continues today. Plumbing was a natural addition to Bogot’s existing businesses, so the sale was completed.
