Eisenhower Center serves adults suffering from cerebral palsy, neurological disorders and other developmental disabilities by providing job training and therapy services, as well as an opportunity for paid employment. It teaches appropriate work behaviors and increase skills. It provides work, such as assembly, packaging, collating and mailing jobs. It offers classes in reading, mathematics, grammar, social skills, sex education and consumer awareness. Its therapy services include occupational, speech and language. Its physical therapy treatment includes muscle strengthening, pain management, mobility training and wheelchair positioning. It provides psychological services, including testing, evaluation and counseling. Eisenhower Center is partially funded by various local, state and federal programs, and is located in Milwaukee.
