The CG Schmidt Construction story began in 1907 when 19-year-old Charles Schmidt came to the United States from his home in Rosendaal, Holland. Charles began his career in Milwaukee, as a maintenance worker for a local Milwaukee brewery and in 1920, he set out on his own and launched Charles Schmidt & Sons Construction. The company provides complete construction management, general contracting and design/build services for projects ranging in value from $250,000 to $100 million. It works with healthcare, senior living, educational, cultural, corporate, industrial, commercial, human services, parking structure, municipal and religious industries.
